Brawn, brains and power

Mazda BT-50 has the strength and features that you expect from a leading ute. It’s got all the important things, like a big capacity tray and the ability to tow a massive 3,500kg. And you know what’s even better? It all comes in a package that looks just as good on a busy city street as it does on a back-country road. BT-50 is sleek and athletic – no boxy thinking here. Vehicle shown above is fitted with optional hi-spec alloy tray.

You might forget you're in a pick-up

Mazda BT-50 welcomes you to the kind of comfort that’s all too rare in this class. The cabin wraps around you with a sense of sophistication, and the latest tech. All models come with cruise control and you’ll find a sat nav in XTR and GT models. Right on the steering wheel you’ve got switches for audio and the standard Bluetooth® functions.
Spend time in BT-50 Dual Cab and you might think you’re driving the family sedan. You’ll love the comfort during long days at work or the drive home from weekends away.

More than you expect from a pick-up BT-50 is loaded with useful technology

Sporty, stylish and spacious.

Attention to detail and dedication to comfort dominate the interior of the new Mazda BT-50. The two-tone color scheme and silver-finish accents create a clean, modern feel that ushers in improved refinement to the styling of pick-ups

But that’s not all. Mazda BT-50 packs much more:

  • Power windows and mirrors
  • Air-conditioning
  • Cruise control
  • Bluetooth®
  • Connectivity (MP3 player compatible)

BT-50 has the strength to tackle the toughest tasks

Mazda BT-50 packs more than most others. The new generation turbo diesel engine uses advanced common-rail direct injection to squeeze out more muscle from less fuel. Boosted by a lag-reducing variable geometry turbocharger, the punchy 3.2 litre gives you a serious 147kW and massive 470Nm of torque. Plenty to easily overpower any challenge.

But the toughness doesn’t end there. With the power of all four wheels behind you, Mazda BT-50 provides you with strength and ability proven in the toughest tests Australia could throw at it. And with an 80 liter tank and the ability to haul over 1,400kg or tow 3,500kg, BT-50 can help you work and play as hard as you like.

Strong, sturdy and built for the toughest jobs

A high strength chassis lets BT-50 do more. By using high tensile steel in its chassis, we’ve been able to build an even stronger ute. The wishbone front and leaf rear suspension delivers responsive handling. All without compromising on durability.

Technology makes BT-50 a great driving experience

Superb on-road and confident off-road performance is boosted by impressive technology.
Hill Descent Control (HDC) automatically applies brakes to maintain a steady, low speed down steep slopes.
Hill Launch Assist (HLA) keeps the brakes applied for about two seconds when you remove your foot from the brake pedal to apply throttle.
And the in-built trip computer keeps you in the loop about fuel consumption.

Built for all driving conditions.

Mazda BT-50’s responsive handling and steering mean you’re well placed to avoid potential trouble. The superior protection of a highly reinforced body shell helps keep you secure. Front seat belts feature pretensioners and load-limiters.
The powerful brakes are backed up by ABS and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), which optimizes braking force according to vehicle load. Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) monitors pedal application to recognize emergency braking, adding stopping power right when it’s needed.

In a class of its own.

The power and performance of an SUV meet the ride comfort of a passenger car, placing the Mazda BT-50 in a category of its own. The horizontally-aligned rear lamps give a sense of motion and speed and clearly differentiate the BT-50 from other pick-ups.
